JK Rowling expertly trolled Piers Morgan... by sharing a lovely article he wrote about her in 2010

“Just been sent this! Could the writer let me know who he is?” We see you, Joanne.

OVER THE PAST few days, Piers Morgan and JK Rowling have been engaging in a vicious back-and-forth on Twitter. (Because it’s 2017 and this is the world we live in now, baby!)

It started when JK Rowling shared a video of Australian comedian Jim Jefferies telling Piers Morgan to “f**k off” on Real Time with Bill Maher.

Piers Morgan immediately responded by countering that everything he said was “factual” and that “f**k off” was an inadequate response.

And it escalated from there with Piers Morgan citing Rowling’s attitude as a reason why Brexit passed and Trump won last year.

And JK Rowling lording a British Book Awards victory over him.

While Rowling accused Morgan of sucking up to President Donald Trump. (Morgan is a friend of Trump’s having appeared on and won Celebrity Apprentice in 2008.)

Morgan even appeared on Fox News last night to call JK Rowling “a serial loser” and “the worst celebrity political pundit on the entire planet” for backing Labour, Remain and Hillary Clinton.

Three days later and the feud is still rumbling with YouGov even commissioning polls to ascertain the British public’s views on the matter.

Rowling is trouncing Morgan. No surprise there.

Today, JK Rowling delivered another blow to the journalist when she shared this touching tribute.

She would hate to be called a celebrity, and guards her private life intensely, so she doesn’t play any part of the celebrity game. And that’s why I’ve marked her quite far down my list. But by encouraging children to read, feel inspired and be creative, she has had a greater impact on the world than most of the other names on it.

Piers Morgan shared it and labelled it “priceless humblebrag BS”

Only problem? The author of that lovely tribute was none other than Piers Morgan himself.

In a piece published in 2010, Morgan called Rowling the 97th most important British celebrity and wrote that she “definitely matters”.

Far cry from calling her a serial loser, eh?

OH SNAP.

You did it again, Joanne. Take a bow.

For his part, Piers Morgan is claiming that he was in on the joke and “just surprised I put her as high as 97th”.

Sure thing, Piers. Whatever you say.
